Truth is, they are our biggest problem. They take a large chunk (up to 50% or more) of our pay. They provide no services to the job searcher. They are only interested in there "client". They have the attitude that we are the enemy. They are quite often rude and disrespectful. And really is it worth 50% of your pay to use a company that simply passes your resume on to another company. They are the biggest middle man leaches the world has ever produced. And they are completely worthless! Always! Years ago, I witnessed a company who had an agreement with my employer that they could simply walk in the door with a new programmer and let him/her start work right away. They brought a Pascal developer into a C++ shop. And it was one of the top 3 employment agencies in the U.S. The agreement was terminated that day.
